Nokia 5700 XpressMusic phone announcedJust minutes ago, Nokia announced the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic mobile phone. A hip new 3G phone with a funky style, the 5700 is part Nokia 5300, and part Nokia 3250 design. It features a Smart-Twist design bottom piece, with dedicated music player keys, dedicated audio chip for Hi-Fi sound, built-in stereo loudspeakers, and a 5 band graphic equalizer - allowing you to custom tune your music how you like it. The Nokia 5700 XpressMusic also features a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom, a flash, and "panorama mode" which allows you to shoot up to 5 images wide and view on the large bright 2.2 inch QVGA screen - definitely not your run-of-the-mill generic camera phone! Other notable Nokia 5700 XpressMusic features include: - A built-in FM radio tuner featuring Visual Radio - find out what song is playing, who sings it, and other artist information. - Mpeg4 player and advanced editor - Edit your videos on the spot with the master set of different effects and options and create new views with your own video content. - Email: IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, Support for IMAP IDLE, OMA e-mail notification, MIME. Support for attachments: (.jpg, .3gp, .mp3). - Hot swappable slot for microSD memory card, with options to expand up to 2 GB with microSD card - Bluetooth 2.0 - Push to talk over cellular network (PoC) This looks like it may be a serious contender for sexy new phone of the year (sorry iPhone) and is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2007. No price details are available as of yet. |
